The Ewing family had plenty to keep them busy, from oil empires to J.R.'s endless scheming and Bobby being left at the altar by Jenna Wade. But Patrick Duffy's Bobby was certainly a favourite face on Dallas, and a favourite within the family, bringing the charming and strong-willed youngest son to life on-screen.
Away from the camera, Patrick is a father of two, welcoming both of his sons with his late wife of over 40 years. From his real life love story to his kids' careers onscreen, find out more about the (less dramatic) family life of the Dallas favourite.
Patrick is best known for series like 'Dallas' and 'Step by Step'

A second chance at love
Since his wife's passing in 2017, Patrick has found love again with an old friend. Patrick Duffy and now-partner Linda Purl originally met briefly at a play starring mutual friend Richard Thomas in 2000, but it was in 2020 after reconnecting via a group text that the two fell for each other.
Frequent messaging turned into video calls until a slip up had Patrick confessing his feelings. He told Senior Planet, "One night, as we were signing off, I said, ‘Sleep tight, I love you.’ I pushed the off button and went, ‘Oh my god. I said the L-word!’"
Patrick is enjoying life with his new partner Linda and continues to act on screen
