Kelly Ripa opened up about her 30th anniversary with Mark Consuelos on the May 27 episode of LIVE. The ABC star revealed details of the unusual anniversary card she had once gifted to her husband.
The topic arose after the couple discussed a new study about the Tyrannosaurus rex. "Can I talk about it on the air?" she asked. "I’m gonna talk about it in a way that is appropriate for television."
Kelly continued: "For our anniversary, I found an anniversary card where two T. rexes are engaged in loving one another very much. And the female T. rex says, 'Pull my hair.' And the male T. rex says, 'I’m trying.'"
© Getty ImagesWhen Kelly asked Mark if it was the best card he's ever received, he replied, "Yes".
"I found it in Palm Springs, where all good cards come from," she explained "It’s an adorable card. You have to see it, but only certain people can see it. You have to be 21 and older to see it."
The couple also discussed dinosaurs earlier in the show, with Kelly sharing that she is the "human embodiment of a T. rex" because she has "short arms for my body size." She added that dinosaurs "didn't need their little arms" because they "approached everything headfirst."

Kelly and Mark's anniversary
The couple celebrated their 30th anniversary on May 1. The day was marked with a special episode of LIVE to commemorate the milestone day. "Today is our 30th wedding anniversary," shared Mark. "30 years. We did it!"
"A high-five? The 30th is the high-five anniversary!" said Kelly. "How'd that happen? It wasn’t supposed to work out. Two kids meet on a soap opera…" Mark recalled. Kelly then called their marriage "the smartest, best decision I ever made in my life."

In 2022, Kelly shared that their wedding cost just $179. Her wedding dress also had an under-$200 price tag and featured a sleeveless design with delicate spaghetti straps and a figure-hugging silhouette. The entire gown was adorned with intricate lace detailing and finished with a graceful, floor-sweeping hem. They went on to welcome kids Michael, Lola, and Joaquin.
Mark shared that their relationship has been "one big adventure ever since," while Kelly said, "I feel like every day is our anniversary, in a weird way."
