Jennifer Lopez set the record straight about her relationship status as rumors continue to swirl about her close bond with her Office Romance co-star, Brett Goldstein. The pair stopped by the Today show on Tuesday to discuss the new Netflix film, which follows Jennifer as a high-powered CEO and Brett as a lawyer who unexpectedly falls for her.
Their chemistry during the press tour has sparked rumors that they may be more than just friends, yet the "Get on the Floor" singer quickly shut this down on the morning show when asked by Savannah Guthrie if they were dating. "There's never a time when I'm seen with somebody or working with somebody where they don't try to put me with the person," she laughed.
"I think if you stand near her, that's what happens," Brett chimed in. "That's why I've been standing so close this whole time."
"Okay, but I'll just say, because I'm me and you know me. That was not an answer," Savannah quipped.
"That was not an answer? It was an answer!" Jennifer replied. "Because all these people that they put me [with], I think I was with Kevin Costner this year. I was with…there was a lot of people. It happens all the time. Doesn't make it true."
She then clarified that they were "not dating", with Brett adding: "Correct." Jennifer then teased that she had made Savannah flustered with her response. "You tried to fluster us, and we flustered you!" she laughed.

Rumors of Jennifer's connection with Brett grew like wildfire when a clip of the Ted Lasso star from 2022 resurfaced, revealing that the singer was his celebrity crush.
"I believed that, one day, I would marry J-Lo, and after last night, I was like, 'Maybe all hope is dead,'" he joked to Access Hollywood, referring to her marriage to Ben. "So, I don't know anymore. Love is love, but sometimes, they marry Ben Affleck."

"He was a fan, I guess, before, and I was a fan of his from Ted Lasso…He also sent a note that said, 'You're at the top of our list. It's a list of one. If you don't do the money, we're not making it.'"

"I knew that we were friendly and easy right away, which was nice. Sometimes if you meet somebody it can like, 'Oh, he's kind of a weirdo, but it's okay, we'll make this work," she said. "But it wasn't like that. You weren't a weirdo."
"It was very easy, we were laughing, first time, very easy," Brett added.
