Mary J. Blige threw her support behind Super Bowl Halftime Show performer Bad Bunny ahead of his historic concert at the iconic NFL game on Sunday. The Grammy winner, who performed in the Halftime Show in 2001 and 2022, shared with People that she didn't believe the Puerto Rican star needed any advice for the big day.
"I don't think Bad Bunny needs any tips. He performs for billions and trillions of people. He's a great performer," she said.
"He's gonna body it. He's gonna murder it. I just say blessings to you. Bad Bunny, kill it," she added. Mary first appeared on the prestigious stage in 2001 alongside Aerosmith, *NSYNC, Britney Spears and Nelly, in Tampa, Florida.

"I was excited and nervous all at the same time, and my goal was to get it done and be Mary J. Blige, you know, to the a millionth power," she told People of her performance. Bad Bunny is set to perform his biggest hits at the game on Sunday, just a week after he won the coveted Album of the Year prize at the Grammys for Debí Tirar Más Fotos.
While his appointment as the Super Bowl Halftime Show performer drew heavy criticism from conservative voices, several A-listers have shown their support for the 31-year-old.

Jennifer Lopez took to Instagram to share a photo of herself with Bad Bunny in a show of support. "@badbunnyPR…sending you all the love, positivity and the biggest hug in the world! We are all behind you tonight. I know that you are going to kill it!" she wrote.

The mother of two added that she was "so proud" of Bad Bunny for performing on "the biggest stage in the world" as he "represents not only Latin culture but also how important Spanish language music has become on a global scale and how universal it has become. It's the perfect moment for a performance like this. I can't wait to watch it."
