Jennifer Lopez has one of the most enviable bodies in the business, and the star had to do some serious preparation before she filmed a bikini scene in her latest film, Office Romance. The 56-year-old, who stars in the film alongside Ted Lasso actor Brett Goldstein, shared with Extra that the key to maintaining her svelte, athletic figure was consistency.
"You know that you're gonna be on-screen…You gotta be prepared…in the gym and eating right," she told the outlet. "It's about eating healthy and eating the right things and working out and being consistent. I say these things all the time."
Brett added that Jennifer wasn't the only one feeling the pressure to look perfect during the scene. "Of course I did…I'm doing a scene with this one," he joked, referring to his co-star.
The mother of two also got candid about how her body changed during a particularly difficult time in her marriage to ex-husband Ben Affleck in 2024. Looking back on her 2024 Met Gala look, she explained: "It's funny, that was a tough time in my life at the time. I remember I had lost a lot of weight."
"I had just finished Kiss of the Spider Woman, and for me, like, it's a Schiaparelli dress, and I'm obsessed with Schiaparelli and Daniel Roseberry. And so for that reason alone, it's like an iconic moment for me, for myself. But when I look at it, I remember it was a tough time... I look at those pictures, and I feel like I look sad."
Ben and Jennifer were married for two years until she filed for divorce in August 2024, and they finalized their split in January the following year.
The "Get on the Floor" singer has famously maintained her incredible figure well into her 50s, and shared on CBS Mornings how she switched up her workouts when entering middle age.

"I think I've gotten good at working out what I need to work out without killing myself. I think when I was younger, I was like doing all the things and like, working so hard. And now, I work smarter, not harder," she said. "That's what my trainers and I think about a lot. It's like, I have 40 minutes for you right now, and we need to maximize that – and we do."
She continued: "I lift heavy, I do a lot of weights now because as you get older you need to start doing that in your 30s and you need to do that because, even if you're like, into cardio and you want to be slim or drop weight or whatever, muscle is the thing that burns fat. And as we get older, we lose the muscle. So, we need to build the muscle to keep a youthful appearance."
As for her diet, Jennifer eats clean whenever she can, and loves to be in the kitchen. "We eat a lot of green vegetables, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, broccoli and kale," she told Us Weekly. "I love to cook a lot of stuff; I love cooking Puerto Rican food because that's what I grew up on."
"I'm a very social person and love spending time with my friends and family, so when we go out to eat I try to make healthy choices," she later shared with HELLO!
"Most restaurants offer healthy meals, so I watch for things on the menu that fit my lifestyle. I'll have a salad or some fish with veggies. And I make sure I drink lots of water throughout the meal."
