One film that we never tire of seeing repeated is The Sound of Music, and the 1965 classic film is back on the BBC over the Easter break, airing on Good Friday.
The musical, which at the time became the highest-grossing film of all time, starred Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer. It put several child actors on Hollywood's radar, such as Charmian Carr, Nicholas Hammond, Heather Menzies, Duane Chase, Angela Cartwright, Debbie Turner and Kym Karath as the van Trapp children.
While most of the children were American, Angela was the only British star among them. The star made a name for herself, appearing in the likes of Beyond the Poseidon Adventure, Room 222, The Love Boat and a 1982 episode of Lost in Space. The actress also appeared in Netflix's remake of the series, making a cameo appearance in one of the episodes.
Angela also became a talented author, writing nine books and being the publisher of her own magazine, Pasticcio quartz, which was published between 2007 and 2014.
However, Angela isn't the only famous face in her family, as the star is the younger sister of established actress Veronica Cartwright, who is known for appearing in several iconic horror and sci-fi films.
Here's all you need to know about the star…
Angela's sister Veronica Cartwright
Veronica is three years older than her younger sister, and she made her debut in the 1958 film In Love and War, albeit in an uncredited role. However, Veronica soon found fame when she appeared in several major horror and sci-fi films, including The Birds and Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
The actress also appeared in the first Alien film, where she played Joan Lambert. The role firmly put her on the map, earning her a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress. Her film career continued with the likes of Flight of the Navigator, The Witches of Eastwick, Kinsey and The Invasion.
However, Veronica also established herself as a small-screen actress, earning three Emmy nominations for her TV roles. Despite only appearing in four episodes of The X-Files as Cassandra Spender, she received two nominations for Outstanding Guest Actress, and she was also nominated for the award for her role as Norma Houston in ER.
Other major credits include Leave It to Beaver, Daniel Boone, L.A. Law, George & Leo, Six Feet Under, The Nine, Supernatural and The Good Doctor.
Last year, Veronica shared a stunning photo of the pair of sisters together, only commenting: "That time I visited my sister and we had some fun…" Fans were amazed by the photos, with many saying how ageless the duo appeared.
