Pamela Anderson has had a new lease of life since she decided to stop wearing makeup in 2023. It's now deemed totally normal for the dazzling actress to appear online and in high-fashion shoots, sporting a glowing face sans any cosmetics at all.
On Thursday, US clothing label Aerie teamed up with the 58-year-old Hollywood icon, highlighting how important it is for brands not to turn to AI-generated images when advertising products. In the carousel of images, the mother of two looked so chic in a variety of stylish, dressed-down looks, including white jeans and a Breton-striped top, a prairie skirt, oversized cardigans and a humble pair of Wellington boots.
Pamela looked ecstatic in the shoot, throwing her head back and laughing at the camera, clutching bouquets of blooms as she smiled.
The caption read: "Just @pamelaanderson, being her real self. No AI-generated bodies or people. Still no retouching."
It was fabulous to see the garden-loving star don a pair of wellies. While the durable, outdoor boots are usually reserved for muddy country walks rather than high-fashion shoots, the way Pamela paired her racing green wellies with her tiered skirt, simple white T-shirt, and cream knit gives her look a modern yet comfortable aesthetic.
The only way is natural
"Nothing can replace human beings," the actress told PEOPLE. "Unless AI wants to start becoming imperfect like human beings, it'll never have the romance of a performance that's soulful and fearless. There's just no way to mimic that because we're all so different."
Touching on her personal style in the interview, the former wife of rocker Tommy Lee added, "I'm not dressing for other people; I'm dressing for myself, and I look the way I want to look."
Ageing is something that the star of The Last Showgirl has taken in her stride. "I never want to become bitter or jaded," she mused. "I just want to enjoy every day ... I really feel there's freedom, especially in this age. I think we shouldn't be afraid of getting older."
Refreshingly, her life ethos is one that many of us could follow. "You're just going to have a good time," she quipped.
