Kate Hudson ensured all eyes were firmly on her as she stepped out in Los Angeles this week, commanding the red carpet at the premiere of Marty, Life is Short in a striking orange gown that was equal parts bold and effortlessly chic.
The Running Point actress, 45, opted for a daring silhouette that featured dramatic side cut-outs and a fluid, floor-skimming design, flashing a glimpse of skin as she posed confidently for photographers.
With her blonde hair swept back into a sleek, low ponytail and accessorised with sculptural gold earrings, Kate kept the focus on the statement dress, pairing the look with classic black heels and understated glam.
Radiating confidence, she turned to showcase the gown’s architectural lines, smiling as she worked the cameras against the sleek Netflix-branded backdrop. The vibrant hue proved a masterclass in modern red carpet dressing, cementing Kate’s reputation for taking risks that pay off.
Her appearance comes during a particularly exciting time for the actress, who recently revealed that music may soon become a family affair in her household. Speaking on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Kate shared that her children are already showing serious signs of following in creative footsteps.
“They’re so musical, which is great. I think I might have planned it out that way,” she joked, before hinting that a Hudson family band could soon be on the horizon.
“You know, I think my boys are actually about to really do that,” she added. “Ryder plays the guitar, and he sings, and Bing is an amazing drummer. I mean, Bing can play literally anything, but he’s been drumming since he was about a year old. Yeah, I think it’s kinda gonna happen.”
Kate is mum to three children: sons Ryder, 22, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Robinson, and Bingham, 14, with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy, as well as daughter Rani, seven, whom she shares with fiancé Danny Fujikawa. And while her sons may be forming a band, it seems her youngest is already carving out her own spotlight.
“Rani just sings, dances, performs,” Kate said proudly. “A whole pop star. She’s got popstar energy, Rani Rose.”
The actress has long been candid about life in her blended family, previously sharing that while it may not look traditional from the outside, it works seamlessly behind the scenes.
“It might not look traditional from the outside, but on the inside, I feel like we’re killing it,” she told The Times.
