Kate Hudson is a gifted actress and singer who hails from an equally talented family, so it's unsurprising that her three kids have inherited her star power.
The Running Point actress is mom to sons Ryder, 22, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Robinson, and Bingham, 14, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy, and daughter Rani, seven, whom she shares with fiancé Danny Fujikawa.
During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Showthis week, Kate revealed that all her children could soon find fame of their own thanks to their musical prowess.
"They're so musical, which is great. I think I might have planned it out that way," she told host Jennifer Hudson.
When Jennifer asked whether there were plans to start a "family band," Kate revealed that her sons are already forming one.
"You know, I think my boys are actually about to really do that," she revealed. "Ryder plays the guitar, and he sings, and Bing is an amazing drummer.
"I mean, Bing can play literally anything, but he's been drumming since he was about a year old. Yeah, I think it's kinda gonna happen."
As for her youngest, Rani, Kate isn't worried about her feeling left out. "Rani just sings, dances, performs," she gushed. "A whole pop star. She's got popstar energy, Rani Rose."
The Almost Famous actress has been open about parenting in a blended family, admitting that everyone gets along well. "It might not look traditional from the outside, but on the inside, I feel like we're killing it," she told The Times.
"The unit that I've created with three children with three different fathers is a seriously strong unit, and it's ours."
Kate's incredibly close to her parents and siblings too, and credits her parents, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell - who she calls 'Pa' - for helping her stay grounded and hardworking, despite growing up with famous parents.
"Thank God I had a mom who said, 'Make your own way,'" she told Variety. "When you become successful in the arts – and what I mean by 'successful' is when you’re making other people a lot of money – people really like to put you in a box. But nobody becomes an artist to be put in a cage."
She continued: "As you get older, you realize you’re the only one who makes the decision not to allow yourself to be in that cage. It means having to make fearless and risk-taking decisions that are really, really hard to do when you have a status quo that’s safe."
Meanwhile, Kate recently opened up about whether she would ever work with her mom on a movie. "I would love it too," she said on LIVE with Kelly and Mark. "Every time I see Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell together, I'm like, 'That is just not fair.' Why do you guys get to do this?"
She continued: "I would love to work with my mom. It would just have to be so right. We would both want it to be very meaningful. Whatever that is or whenever that time comes, I hope so."
