Clive Swift shot to nationwide fame in the 1990s when the actor landed the role of Richard Bucket on BBC sitcom, Keeping Up Appearances. Over five seasons, and three specials, the star played the long-suffering husband of Hyacinth Bucket.
The star, who died at the age 82 on 1 February 2019, was also known for roles in hit shows including Doctor Who, The Old Guys, Excalibur and Born and Bred.
Away from his life on the screen, Clive was happily married to biographer and author Margaret Drabble for 15 years between 1960 and 1975. During their marriage, the couple welcomed three children, Adam, Rebecca and David, who have all gone on to become famous in their own right.

Adam Swift
Despite his father being a famous TV star, Adam followed in his mother's footsteps, entering the world of academia and sociology, currently working as a professor at University College London in the Department of Political Science.
Adam is the author of seven books on topics including social mobility, family ethics, liberalism and communitarianism. He is a founding director of the Oxford Centre for the Study of Social Justice and belongs to Giving What We Can, a group of people who have donated 10 per cent of their income to charities.
Adam didn't often talk about his famous father, but in an interview with a fansite of Excalibur, he shared: "My only memory of [my father] in making the movie is that he was by no means a natural horseman or good with animals. He had to learn to ride from scratch, and with considerable trepidation.
"We children thought it was very funny to see him playing a warrior on a horse – a very long way from his natural self, and indeed from Richard Bucket, the role for which he is probably best known!"
Rebecca Swift
Clive's daughter, Rebecca, also followed in her mother's footsteps, becoming a notable poet and essayist. Among her work, Rebecca co-founded editing company, The Literacy Consultancy, and has organised a bursary scheme to provide free editing services to low-income writers.
Sadly, Rebecca died at the age of 53, after she was diagnosed with cancer. At the time of her death, Rebecca left behind her parents, her two brothers and her partner, Helen Cosis Brown.
Joe Swift
Clive's youngest son, Joe, did follow in his father's footsteps and entered the entertainment industry, becoming a popular TV presenter. Joe is known for presenting on Gardeners' World and the Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show.
The star is incredibly close to his mother, and speaking to The Independent in 2009, Joe said: "I redesigned my mother's garden. I transformed it, actually. She deserves a nice garden."
