It's time to head back to Paradise for a second instalment of the hit Disney+ sci-fi show, which returns to screens a year on from its initial release. While returning cast members Sterling K Brown and Sarah Shahi reprise their roles as Xavier and Gabriela, Tell Me Lies actor Thomas Doherty is set to join the cast as mysterious gang leader Link.
Fans of the 30-year-old Scotsman will recognise Thomas from his most recent role as Leo in Disney+'s Tell Me Lies, as well as Harry in the Descendants franchise and Max in the 2021 Gossip Girl reboot. And while we may not know much about his new character in the upcoming season of Paradise, he does have a famous ex that you might just recognise…
Thomas Doherty's famous ex
Thomas was previously in a relationship with singer and actress Dove Cameron, 30, best known for her dual roles in Disney's teen show Liv and Maddie and for playing both Betsy McDonough and Jenny Banks in musical comedy Schmigadoon! opposite Keegan-Michael Key and Cecily Strong.

How did Thomas and Dove meet?
The couple were first reported to have met in 2016 on the set of the Disney movie Descendants 2, where they formed a fast friendship. Dove was reportedly dating her Liv and Maddie co-star Ryan McCartan until August 2016, and while she and Thomas teased fans with snippets of their time hanging out together, it wasn't until February 2017 that the actress confirmed they were dating.
"We're keeping it to ourselves, because everything is just so more romantic and real when it's yours and it's private," Cameron told People. "So we are keeping the details to ourselves, but yeah, we're dating."

"She's the most compassionate and the most patient and the most genuine, loving person I've ever met," he added. "And so kind and so generous. She's amazing. She really is."
After four years together, however, Dove confirmed at the end of 2020 that they had sadly decided to go their separate ways. Posting to her Instagram Stories, the singer wrote: "In October, Thomas and I decided to part ways. The decision was incredibly difficult, but we still have love for each other, and will remain friends." She ended the post by thanking fans for allowing them both privacy at the time.
Who is Thomas Doherty dating now?
While Thomas has sparked romance rumours with Too Hot to Handle star Georgia Hassarati and Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's actress and singer daughter Scout Willis, he is currently single.

"Speaking for the young ladies, yes, he is single right now, but he probably won't be before the show is over," Sterling joked, after teasing Thomas's "phenomenal" performance in the new season.
Paradise season 2 returns to Disney+ on Monday 23 February.
