If any sitcom embodied the 1980s, then it had to be Hi-de-Hi!. The classic show aired between 1980 and 1988 and featured a cast of characters at a holiday camp in the 1959/1960 holiday season.
Many of the show's characters aimed for a higher calling in life, including Jeffrey Holland's character, Spike Dixon, a comedian and the moral foil to entertainment host Ted Bovis (Paul Shane), who often dabbled in criminality.
Away from the camp classic, Jeffrey was also known for shows like You Rang M'Lord? and Oh, Doctor Beeching!, both of which also aired on the BBC.
However, the 79-year-old is also happily married, with the star walking down the aisle with actress Judy Buxton in 2004. He had previously been married to Eleanor Hartopp, with whom he shares his two children with.

Judy Buxton
Like Jeffrey, Judy is also successful in the entertainment industry, making her debut in an episode of Dixon of Dock Green back in 1972. The star then landed one of her largest roles, as she appeared as Student Nurse Katy Shaw in 26 episodes of classic soap opera General Hospital.
Judy has since starred in the likes of The Big Sleep, Rising Damp, The Sweeney, Blake's 7, By the Sword Divided and On the Up. Towards the end of her career, Judy started working with her husband on a frequent basis, with the pair acting alongside one another in Barmy Dale and Simply Ken.
The duo have also acted alongside one another on stage, and back in 2024, they played married couple Alfred and Joan in a production of After All These Years. Speaking to London Pub Theatres at the time, Jeffrey said: "It's marvellous, working with my wife, because we've worked together a lot. We met while working together, and we have the same approach to our work.
"When I'm looking at Judy on stage, I'm not seeing my wife but the character she's playing. We can both do that; others can't quite cope but we're quite compatible on stage."
Jeffrey and Judy are very close, and for their 20th anniversary back in 2024, the actor sweetly posted several photos of the couple together. "Happy 20th Anniversary to my wonderful wife, the lovely Judy Buxton," he wrote. "Celebrating in style. Here’s to the next 20 years together!"
The sweet anniversary images saw the couple enjoying a glass of red wine during a romantic meal, as well as snaps of them exploring the village of Alfriston in East Sussex.
