Broadcasting icon Sara Cox’s fringe has been a signature of her look for decades. In an industry obsessed with reinvention, the 51-year-old has maintained the effortlessly cool hairstyle throughout tenures on radio and TV since the late 90s. It typically takes on a blunt-cut that skims just above the eyebrows, and looks naturally thick. However, Sara has now revealed that caring for her fringe (and the rest of her hair, for that matter) hasn't always been a smooth ride.

  • Sara Cox’s fringe has been a signature of her look for decades in broadcasting
  • The 51-year-old experienced hair loss and dullness in midlife so used Dr.Vegan's Hair Saviour supplement to help
  • With 14 nutrients, the formula combats hair loss and thinning, while injecting a glow into each individual strands

The mum-of-three recently opened up about her tresses "feeling dry and looking a bit dull” in midlife – an annoyance that millions of women can relate to. Our hair often undergoes a significant vibe shift during our 40s and 50s, which is usually down to a mix of biology and hormones. The reason is that our bodies become a bit more selective about where it sends resources during this time – and our hair is, unfortunately, considered "non-essential" tissue by the body.

The good news is that supplements can help with this, which is exactly what Sara leaned on to bring a new lease of life to her hair. The exact one she uses is Dr.Vegan’s Hair Saviour. She said: “My hair was feeling dry and looking a bit dull, so I needed help. I wasn't interested in a quick fix. My saviour, quite literally, is Hair Saviour."

Combining 14 scientifically studied ingredients, Hair Saviour is an award-winning supplement developed to fuel healthy hair growth, as well as ensure each strand grows back stronger and thicker. It works by addressing nutrient deficiencies that may contribute to hair loss or hair thinning.

Sara said: "After about six weeks I noticed less shedding and my hair began to feel fuller, and after about eight to 10 weeks, I started seeing new baby hairs coming through. You've got to stick with it. And I've gotta say, with my iconic fringe, it’s looking fuller and better than ever. Bottom line is my own hair just feels healthier and definitely feels fuller.”

The radio presenter – who is mum to Lola Anne, 21, Isaac, 17, and Renee, 15 – is an ambassador of Dr.Vegan. And it doesn’t matter that she doesn’t follow a vegan lifestyle, as anyone can benefit from the products being clean, with no animal ingredients, fillers or additives.
