The biggest names of the decade were Naomi Campbell, Elle Macpherson, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, and Christie Brinkley.
Their faces were plastered across international billboards, and while some enjoyed a quieter life as time rolled on, others introduced their world to their children and watched as their mini-mes became big names in their own right.

Firmly following in their mother's footsteps, both Gerber children have carved out modelling careers of their own, with 23-year-old Kaia starring as the face of Chanel and 25-year-old Presley working with Dolce & Gabbana.
The youngest of Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber's children, Kaia, was born on 3 September 2001. She won Model of the Year at the 2018 Fashion Awards and has dipped her toe into acting, making appearances in American Horror Story and Bottoms.
Presley was born on 2 July 1999 and set himself apart from his sister with his distinctive tattoos that have landed him campaigns with the likes of Calvin Klein.
Cindy previously shared her fears about her children working in fashion with Good Morning America and said: "As far as being a mother of two young people going into fashion, of course I worry. But let’s be honest.
"My kids are blessed in that business because they aren’t coming in as unknowns. People will know I will come after them if they mess with my kids."

Born to 'The Body', Flynn and Cy have lived up to their Australian mother, Elle Macpherson's 80s nickname, as they tower over their parents and pose for shoots of their own.
Elle welcomed her two boys with her ex-partner, Arpad Busson. Flynn came first in 1998 and was born in New York
He takes after his mum and has appeared in a number of high-fashion campaigns and regularly attends events with her. He is also a licensed pilot.
Next, born Aurelius Cy Busson, Elle's second son, arrived in 2003 in London and has also begun a career in modelling, appearing on covers with his mum and posing on red carpets.

Christy Turlington first met her husband, actor and filmmaker Ed Burns, in 2000 at a charity event and tied the knot with the creative in June 2003. Following their nuptials, they welcomed a daughter, Grace, 22, and a son, Finn, 20.
Her daughter, Grace McKenna, was born on 23 October 2003. She has started her journey into the world of fashion, despite being warned to "stay far away" from the industry by her famous mother.
In June 2023, she made her runway debut at the British Vogue X LuisaViaRoma show in Florence, Italy and posed alongside Christy for a Carolina Herrera campaign months earlier.
Grace has also appeared on a slew of covers, including Perfect Magazine, MUSE Magazine and POP Magazine.
The supermodel's son Finn was born on 11 February 2006 and lives a much more private life than his model sister. He rarely features in either his mom's or his siblings' online content and prefers to stay out of the limelight.

Naomi shocked the world when she revealed she was expecting her first child, a little girl, via surrogate at the age of 51 in 2021. Two years later, she announced the arrival of her second child, a son, also via surrogate.
The supermodel is extremely private about her children's father and identities, and they are rarely seen online. When the model does post about her family, she hides their faces.
She told British Vogue during her journey with first-time motherhood: "I always knew that one day I would be a mother, but it's the biggest joy I could ever imagine. I'm lucky to have her, and I know that."

One of the most famous faces in fashion, Linda Evangelista welcomed her one and only child, a son named Augustin James Evangelista, on 11 October 2006.
She shares her child, whom she nicknamed Augie, with French businessman François-Henri Pinault. The pair were in a relationship from 2005 to 2006.
Linda decided to raise her son away from the spotlight and kept details of his childhood private. Once he became a teenager, he began attending events with her and has been spotted on various red carpets as the model's plus one.
The model revealed how she felt about parenting her son to Harper's Bazaar in 2013: "Motherhood is my whole life now. It's the best. I am so fulfilled."
Augie shares another super famous mother, actress Salma Hayek, after his dad married the star in 2009.

Former Sports Illustrated model Christie Brinkley welcomed her first daughter with her ex-husband, Billy Joel. Alexa Ray Joel was born in 1985, and her brother, Jack Paris Brinkley Cook, was born after the singer and the model's divorce in 1994.
She welcomed Jack with her then-husband, real estate developer Richard Taubman, before splitting up shortly after.
In 1996, she married architect Peter Cook, who adopted her son Jack before they welcomed their daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook in 1998. They ultimately got divorced in 2008.
Some of Christie's children have followed in her footsteps, with Alexa choosing music like her famous dad, releasing songs and performing alongside him. Jack leads a much more private life while Sailor is pursuing modelling and has posed for some of the same publications that made her mother famous back in her heyday.
