The Terminator actor thrives with routine and order and you won't catch him leaving the bed unmade. As well as ensuring he arranges the duvet perfectly, he expects the same from his children, and growing up, there were big consequences for anyone who left their bedsheets a mess.

When promoting his book, Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life, Arnold told People magazine how he would throw the mattress if beds were left unmade in his house.
"I opened up the door to the balcony, picked up the mattress and threw it down with the bedsheets, the pillows, everything. I said, 'Don't ever make someone come in and clean your room, clean your shower or make your bed,' I said, 'because I taught you how to make the bed,'" he recalled.

Patrick recalled one particular story when his pals came over, took off their clothes to swim in the pool, and his dad gathered up the discarded items and threw them in the fire because they weren't set aside correctly according to his standards. "He was crazy," Patrick joked.

© InstagramArnold is lucky enough to have two incredible properties to call home. His main residence is an LA mansion, which he acquired in 2002 and then he also has a holiday hideaway in Idaho, which is ideal for skiing.
His luxury homes are worlds away from where the Austrian grew up. His childhood residence did not have running water until he was age 15. The humble home has now been converted into a museum where you can even admire Arnie's childhood bedroom in person.
