Sarah Ferguson is currently keeping a low profile amid the crisis surrounding her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was arrested on 19 February on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The former Duchess of York, 66, is yet to find a permanent residence after Andrew was forced to move out of Royal Lodge, where the exes formerly coexisted, under the instruction of King Charles, who removed Andrew and Sarah's royal honours and titles in November.

Retreating from public view, Sarah reportedly checked into the world-renowned £76k-per-week Paracelsus Recovery Clinic in Zurich, Switzerland, after Christmas and left at the end of January. In March 2025, the institution's chief executive, Jan Gerber, took Best Quality Designer Handbag inside his countryside home, which neighbours the clinic he runs.

Jan revealed of the clinic: ''When the environment fosters a sense of security and comfort, the nervous system shifts out of a heightened state of alertness, allowing for deeper psychological healing. Many of these processes happen subconsciously, making the design and ambience of a healing space more influential than we often realise.''

Though not in Zurich, Sarah once owned a property in Switzerland. The former duchess, who is the mother of Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, owned a £13 million chalet in Verbier, which she reportedly moved into in 2014 after leaving Royal Lodge.

At the time, her spokesman confirmed the move but said that she would be maintaining a London residence and a room at Royal Lodge for family get-togethers.

Her representative previously said: "She has a lot of international business commitments and has moved on considerably. So this is really showing she is becoming a more independent unit." The chalet was reportedly sold for £22 million in 2022.

Sarah is not moving in with Beatrice

On the topic of where Sarah is living now (or where she is due to move to), a source told HELLO! last month: "She has stood by [Andrew] all these years but is now ready to spread her wings.

"She won't be moving in with him to the new house on the Sandringham Estate. She won't be moving into Beatrice's Cotswolds home, though. Eugenie's home in Portugal is a contender while she finds somewhere."
