Handing over!
That's all from me today!
I'm handing you over to Eleanor Dye, who will bring you an afternoon of jam-packed royal news.
Good afternoon!
Good afternoon everyone!
I'll be taking over the royal news from Lucy for this afternoon. The Prince and Princess of Wales will shortly be attending the installation of the Archbishop of Canterbury, with the service expected to begin at 2.30pm.
The couple previously held a private audience with Dame Sarah Mullally last month, marking a historic royal first.
Stay with us as we bring you the latest updates!
First arrivals in Canterbury
The first guests have started to arrive at Canterbury Cathedral ahead of the installation service this afternoon.
No sign of the Prince and Princess of Wales yet, but I'm sure it won't be long! Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer will also be attending.
Grand Duchess Maria Teresa's birthday celebrations
Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg celebrated her 70th birthday over the weekend with a family reunion!
The Grand Ducal family gathered at Berg Castle for a stunning family photograph.
Grand Duke Henri and the Grand Duchess abdicated the throne last October, in favour of their eldest son, Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie.
Why is today's service important?
We're shortly expecting to see the Prince and Princess of Wales, who are attending the installation of the new Archbishop of Canterbury.
The service marks the beginning of Dame Sarah Mullally's ministry as bishop and as the spiritual leader within the Anglican Communion.
William and Kate will be representing the King, and joining in the procession. It's an important event for them to attend, as Dame Sarah is the woman who could one day crown them in the future.
As King, William will serve as the Supreme Governor of the Church of England and hold the title Defender of the Faith.
Dame Sarah is the first female Archbishop of Canterbury.
Service begins!
The enthronement ceremony has officially begun!
The Princess and Princess of Wales are due to arrive with a fanfare and procession shortly.
Prince William and Kate arrive
The Prince and Princess of Wales have arrived, led by the Dean.
The couple was seen shaking hands before a fanfare - we will bring you pictures very shortly so don't go anywhere!
William and Kate pictured
The Prince and Princess of Wales have arrived, and we have the first photographs.
Kate, 44, is wearing a long grey fitted Suzannah coat and a Juliette Botterill hat.
A windy arrival!
It's rather wet and windy in Canterbury today, but that hasn't dampened William and Kate's spirits.
The royals were greeted outside the West Door by Lord Lieutenant of Kent, Lady Colgrain.
The prince is representing his father the King, who is the Supreme Governor of the Church of England, at the historic ceremony.
Joining in the hymns
The Prince and Princess have now taken their seats, and joined in with the first hymn: Praise, my soul, the King of heaven.
It comes after the Prince of Wales confirmed his "quiet faith" earlier this week, despite not attending church every week.
Kate is glowing!
The Princess of Wales was glowing this afternoon as she attended the church service - we're bringing you all the best photos now.
She's also wearing her pearl cluster earrings from Cassandra Goad.
Walking down the aisle
The Prince and Princess of Wales were led by the Dean of Canterbury, the Very Revd Dr David Monteith, down the aisle of Canterbury Cathedral.
The couple was escorted to their places in the Quire to watch the service.
Kate compared to Audrey Hepburn
The Princess of Wales's look today has been compared to Audrey Hepburn on social media - and it's easy to see why.
Kate has created a masterclass in timeless dressing - feel free to leave a comment down below to tell us what you think!
The new Archbishop
Dame Sarah Mullally is being enthroned today as the new Archbishop of Canterbury.
Upon arriving at the Cathedral, she gave the traditional three knocks on the door with a staff, symbolising her Christian role as shepherd, to guide the congregation.
Dame Sarah could one day crown William and Kate as King and Queen. You can read more about their previous meeting here.
Princess of Wales's tweak to £2.8k dress
The Princess of Wales is wearing a dazzling new outfit from one of her favourite brands, Suzannah London.
The design is cut from a luxurious cashmere wool, with a modern semi-fitted cut, outlined in chic black silk satin, which fell into an A-line midi skirt.
The ensemble costs £2,850, but Kate, 44, has put her own personal twist on the look.
Our fashion and beauty news editor, Laura Sutcliffe, has the details here.
Who is next to the Princess of Wales today?
The Princess of Wales is sat next to Lady Colgrain, the Lord-Lieutenant of Kent.
This means she is the county's official representative of the King and welcomed the royal party this afternoon.
Lady Colgrain has lived in Kent for more than 40 years and took up the role in 2020.
Prince William and Kate exit the cathedral
The service is now wrapping up and the Prince and Princess of Wales are exiting the cathedral in a procession.
There were a few sweet moments throughout the service, with the couple giving the Archbishop a round of applause in a significant show of support.
The couple has just been seen personally congratulating Dame Sarah, who has looked emotional at points during the service.
Handing over
I'm now handing over to our evening writer Matthew, who will continue bringing you the updates.
The installation service is now wrapping up and William and Kate have exited the Cathedral - so we should be getting some more pictures of them in soon.

His Majesty presented The Distinguished Flying Cross, The Air Force Cross, The George Medal, The King’s Gallantry Medal, and The King's Commendation for Bravery.
One of those who received the honour was Joaquin Garcia Calatayud (pictured), who saved a woman from drowning in the River Thames on 24 April 2021.

Where in the world is Sarah Ferguson?
Good morning, afternoon, and evening Best Quality Designer Handbag readers. I'm back on the blog this week, and love this feature, Where is Fergie? The growing mystery of Sarah Ferguson's public absence.
"Sarah Ferguson could give Waldo a run for his money. Unlike the striped-shirt book character who hides in plain sight, the former Duchess of York has been flying under the radar, even before her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's arrest. So, where is Sarah?" writes Alexandra Hurtado.
