Princess Kate's heatwave dress she'd never wear today
The Princess of Wales possesses a versatile wardrobe filled with timeless pieces for every occasion. As summer temperatures rise across the UK, we are revisiting some of her classic warm-weather ensembles from years past.
One standout outfit from her fashion archives is a vibrant look from 2012 that would fit perfectly into a modern heatwave wardrobe, though it features a style the 44-year-old royal rarely wears today. During her and Prince William's Diamond Jubilee tour of the Far East, Kate attended a reception at the Governor General's residence in Honiara, Guadalcanal Island, wearing a striking pink floral sundress.

Princess Kate's deal-breaker with Harry and Meghan
In his 2026 biography, William and Catherine: The Intimate Inside Story, royal editor Russell Myers reveals that the Princess of Wales realised her path would diverge entirely from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's due to a specific deal-breaker.
Initially, the 44-year-old Princess believed the friction between Prince William and his younger brother stemmed from typical "heir and spare" dynamics, assuming Harry simply desired a more prominent role than that of a secondary player.
According to the book, she initially attributed their clashes to mutual stubbornness and immaturity. However, the true point of contention that she found impossible to overlook was allegedly the Sussexes' treatment of palace staff. Because she and William held the household team in high regard, this issue reportedly set the two couples on completely different trajectories.

Sarah Ferguson's plan to distance herself from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor
Sarah Ferguson has completely withdrawn from the spotlight following the public downfall and recent arrest of her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. After sharing a residence for 18 years, the pair have officially parted ways; Andrew has relocated to Marsh Farm in Sandringham, leaving Sarah without a permanent home as she actively attempts to distance herself from him.
Andrew Lownie, author of Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, suggests that their long-standing "us against the world" alliance has permanently fractured. Lownie notes that Sarah likely views Andrew as a toxic influence, prompting her to strike out on her own.
Additionally, Majesty Magazine editor-in-chief Ingrid Seward told HELLO! that Sarah has lost all respect for her former husband. Seward highlighted a fundamental clash in their personalities, stating that Sarah was continually embarrassed by Andrew's unsophisticated demeanour and his tendency to speak down to others.
Pippa Middleton's 82ft home feature for braving scorching temperatures
As the UK faces record-breaking heatwave conditions this week, Pippa Middleton £15 million Berkshire estate is proving to be the ultimate summer sanctuary.
The Princess of Wales' younger sister, 42, resides in a sprawling 32-room Georgian mansion with her husband, hedge fund manager James Matthews, and their three children: Arthur, seven, Grace, five, and Rose, three.
Following their acquisition of the property in 2022, the couple undertook extensive renovations, which included replacing a substantial walled garden to install an expansive 82-foot by 19-foot outdoor swimming pool.
Double the size of a standard private pool, the impressive facility matches the dimensions of local leisure centres. The adjacent grounds were also transformed with the addition of a private tennis court, cementing the garden as a premier private haven during the current heatwave.
