Mark Consuelos opened up about how co-hosting a daytime television show with his wife, Kelly Ripa, has impacted their intimacy. The couple addressed the topic of morning sex while being joined by actress Christina Miller during the March 3 episode of LIVE.
"I have something to say," said Christina. "I watch this show, I'm a fan. And, Mark, I'm going to say this with love. There's no morning sex. No one likes it. And not even on the weekends."
Mark then shared that his preference for morning intimacy has been affected by both his and Kelly's work schedules. "I've got to tell you, this job has really gotten in the way of that," he replied. "It's been the antidote for it."
© Getty ImagesChristina explained that women "don’t fall for the, 'I just want to cuddle you' in the morning," before adding that she's been "having the same problem" with her husband, Bill Lawrence. "My window is in the afternoon, it's a short window," she said. "And also, Bill has to be home and also not bugging me. There are a lot of steps. A lot of hurdles."
Kelly then interjected and looked into the camera to directly address Christina's husband. "Bill, for the love of God, on behalf of all of us here in the studio audience, there is absolutely no morning sex," she said.
© ABCThis isn't the first time Kelly has spoken about how her work life has affected her relationship with her husband. During an appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast back in July 2025, Kelly shared that Mark wanted to be intimate "only in the morning".
"I said to him, 'Here’s the thing,'" she said. "'There needs to be a yin and a yang here. It can’t always be your way. Cause it feels like 90 percent of the time it’s your way. And now that we work together every day, it’s gonna have to sometimes be my way, and my way’s at night only.'"

May this show last until he suffers from erectile dysfunction. He’s in his mid-50s now. Shouldn’t that be happening now? I was promised!"
Mark – who shares kids Michael, Lola, and Joaquin, with his wife – joined LIVE officially in 2023 following Ryan Seacrest's departure.
