There's officially a brand new TV judge in the Sheindlin household! Judge Judy aka Judith Sheindlin's son Adam Levy is getting his very own starring courtroom show.
CBS Media Ventures announced with a statement on March 25 that Adam's Law will be part of the new programming slate for the network for its 2026-27 season. Judy, 83, will serve as an executive producer on the show herself.
Adam, 57, will be leaving his position as one of the central judges for the Prime Video show Tribunal Justice, which he has served on since 2023.
Adam's Law
John Budkins, executive vice president of programming and syndication production for CBS Media Ventures and Stations, shared in a statement: "From beloved franchises to breakout new series, this upcoming slate reflects the incredible momentum across our entire portfolio and our continued commitment to deliver top-tier original programming for our stations and partners."
"With seven of the top 10 most-watched first-run syndicated titles currently on the air, we're proud to continue to produce and distribute a wide range of high-quality shows that deliver for audiences, bringing engaging, proven entertainment to viewers in the season ahead."
Other shows renewed with the current slate include Inside Edition, The Drew Barrymore Show (for a seventh and eighth season), Entertainment Tonight, Hot Bench (the sister show to Judge Judy), Jeopardy!, and more.
Judge Judy debuted in 1996 on CBS, remaining in syndication for the entirety of its 25-year run (and a ratings juggernaut) until its 2021 conclusion. Spin-off Judy Justice then premiered later that year on Amazon.
Meet Adam Levy
Adam has nearly 30 years of experience as a lawyer and judge, with an Amazon bio sharing of his experience: "Having served two terms as Putnam County District Attorney in NY, Levy used his experience as a private practitioner to create pragmatic and impactful programs and initiatives to improve the fair and impartial administration of justice in the county where he lived, worked, and raised his family."
"This hands-on approach included extensive in-service training for all newly hired prosecutors and an open-door policy for his staff. Leading by example, Levy personally prosecuted a wide-range of criminal cases, including sexual assaults, political corruption, and witness intimidation matters."
"Levy was the Founding Member of the Putnam County Intelligence Committee, which united law enforcement across jurisdictions to share information and more effectively fight crime within NYS and federally."
It adds: "Levy's no-nonsense approach to cases and reputation as a skilled trial attorney and advocate ultimately led to his election as District Attorney in Putnam County, where he lived with his family."
Adam's daughter Sarah Levy is also a lawyer, who works as the judicial clerk for Judy Justice with her grandmother. He and his wife Lori also share children Jacob and Emma.
