Pete Davidson is all about dressing for comfort! The star is embracing life as a new parent and he's got his dad wardrobe down to a T.
The actor and comedian went incognito backstage in Las Vegas where he was promoting How to Rob a Bank at CinemaCon Las Vegas.
Hidden behind sunglasses, and a baseball cap, Pete was almost unrecognizable. He wore a casual red t-shirt and grey joggers which he teamed with pink socks and his Classic Clogs Crocs!
While his outfit may not scream red carpet ready, it makes sense given that Pete is the latest brand ambassador for Crocs.
In his own admission, comfort is key and he believes it should be for everyone — even for a bride and groom.
Passion for Crocs
"I just think everybody tries too hard and everyone's uncomfortable, and I'm tired of hearing everyone complain about [weddings]," he told People. "Dudes complain about wearing suits and girls complain about wearing heels and how tight this dress is, and I can't breathe. And it's so hard to take a [expletive] sit down or whatever. All right, just put on some Crocs then."
Pete admits that on the rare occasions he's seen in a suit, he's been "forced".
A press release from Crocs says choosing Pete as their ambassador marks the brand's "next era of self-expression and celebrates individuality, instinct and the confidence to experience life in your own way."
Dad life
Pete — who welcomed his first child with his girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, five months ago — is also partial to a pair of bold socks.
He's an investor and creative director for sock brand Doublesoul who make ultra cushioned, soft socks made from recycled materials.
As for fatherhood, The Saturday Night Live veteran says he's been surprised by his "primal" instincts since welcoming Scottie Rose.
"It’s funny. It’s like I didn’t understand this. You're just ready to fight anyone,” he said. "It’s really funny."
And he had nothing but praise for his girlfriend's mothering skills. "What’s also cool is you get to watch someone come into this other role, and it’s so nice to see," he said. "It’s very rewarding to see the person you chose to have a baby with actually crush it so naturally.
"So, Scottie’s very lucky in that way. So we're having a blast. It’s really cute, and it’s fun to dress up a little baby."
