Sarah Michelle Gellar is one lucky mom. The Cruel Intentions actress, who turned 49 last week, showed off the birthday gift from her daughter Charlotte to her five million Instagram followers.
Sarah posted a cheeky selfie of herself posing in a white and green trucker hat that said: "My daughter thinks I'm iconic." The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star captioned the post: "My bday gift from my daughter."
Fans of the actress agreed with the hat's message. One person wrote: "Because you ARE iconic." Another fan commented: "And as your daughters, all of us agree with her."

The perfect birthday gift from Charlotte was just one example of the close relationship between the mother and daughter. Sarah and her husband of 24 years, Freddie Prinze Jr., welcomed Charlotte on September 19, 2009. Three years later, they welcomed their son Rocky.
The A-lister mom keeps her children's lives private and does not share photos of their faces publicly and is a self-proclaimed strict parent.
"We have rules in place," Sarah explained to The Hollywood Reporter. "[She] can't be in front of a camera until she graduates high school." She added: "I'll never stop her from being on a set. But she's just not going on camera while she's living under our roof. There'll be different expectations for her, so she needs to learn everything there is first."
© GettyThat doesn't stop Sarah from the occasional social media brag about her kids. In 2014, the actress showed off her daughter's acrobatic feats with a photo of her doing an impressive split leap on the beach.
And, in 2018, Sarah took Charlotte to meet Taylor Swift, which she shared on Instagram in a rare moment. "I don't often put pictures of my kids on here," the actress wrote. "But last night was truly special."

In September 2025, Sarah's little girl turned 16, and like her daughter, she made sure to give her the perfect gift. The I Know What You Did Last Summer star treated her only daughter to an extravagant gift to mark her special day – a brand new shiny black $84k Jeep Rubicon, which was adorned with a large red bow.
