Hailey Bieber is known for her delicate, fine-line tattoos adorning her hands, and it now appears she's expanded her collection with a temporary piece of ink that pays tribute to her husband, Justin Bieber.
The skincare mogul’s latest tattoo leans into Y2K nostalgia, with a lower-back design – a placement once famously dubbed the "tramp stamp" in the early 2000s. Hailey took to her Instagram Stories to show off the new design. Posing in a bathroom with her back towards the camera, Hailey lifted her grey sweater to unveil the sentence "Is it clocking to you now?" inscribed on her lower back. The phrase was taken from a heated conversation Justin had with paparazzi several months ago.
Lower-back tattoos first gained traction in the 1980s thanks to their easy concealment. Typically featuring butterfly or tribal designs, they reached peak popularity for women in the late 90s and early 2000s, fueled by the rise of low-rise silhouettes.
This isn't the first time Hailey has got a tattoo for her husband. To celebrate his song "Peaches", both Hailey and Justin got a shape of the fruit inked on their body by Dr Woo. Hailey got the tattoo of her inner elbow while Justin opted for it on his neck.
Hailey also has the initial 'J' tattooed on her wedding finger. "It’s always been an idea of mine to get that [the '1996' tattoo]. It’s just like when I decide when not to get it. I think now I’m going to chill out for a second on the tattoos because I’m running out of spots," Hailey told The Cut of her tattoos in 2018.
The Rhode founder has been experimenting with temporary sticker tattoos in recent weeks, and even adorned one onto her son, Jack Blues Bieber, in celebration of his father's Coachella debut. In the intimate close-up shared to Instagram, Jack's small hand rested gently against a blanket, revealing a delicate heart-shaped design inked with the word “bieberchella” inside.
The 29-year-old welcomed her son in August 2024 with her husband, Justin. The star recently opened up to Interview Magazine about her future baby plans. "I definitely want more than one, but I’m taking it one at a time. Some days I want two. Some days I want five," she shared. "Yeah, I always wanted to be married and have kids and a family from a super young age."
"My son usually wakes up around 7:30-ish, so I like to be up with him as much as I can. I’ve enjoyed my mornings a lot more since becoming a mom," she added.
