Dylan Dreyer opened up about what the "hardest" thing is to teach her three sons. The Today Show anchor took to her Instagram Stories on April 27 to share a candid confession – and it's all about spelling.
Alongside a photograph of a piece of paper bearing the word "could", Dylan penned: "Quite possibly the hardest word to teach a kid. Tell me how this even passed reading/writing inspection. Nothing about it makes sense."
Dylan shares three sons, Calvin, Oliver, and Rusty with her ex-husband, Brian Fichera. The couple met while working at the same news station in Boston and tied the knot in 2012. Dylan and Brian moved to New York City and welcomed Calvin in 2016, Oliver in 2020, and Rusty in 2021. The news anchor filed for divorce in March 2026 following 12 years of marriage.
This isn't the first time Dylan has publicly spoken about motherhood and all its challenges. The NBC star recently launched her own podcast, The Parent Chat with Dylan Dreyer, in conjunction with Today on April 2.
The description for Dylan's podcast reads: "Hey Glass Half Full fans! As a bonus for you, we’re sharing the trailer for The Parent Chat with Dylan Dreyer – an all-new podcast series from TODAY.
"You know her as TODAY's candid third hour host. But Dylan Dreyer is also a mom of 3 boys in New York City, trying to figure out the big stuff: how to raise kind, confident, resilient kids and keep her sanity along the way. And like every parent, sometimes she needs…HELP! On The Parent Chat, Dylan calls in reinforcements – from parenting experts with big advice to fellow working moms that can help all parents feel less alone. Because parenting doesn't come with a manual, but it can come with a group chat."
During the first episode, Dylan admitted that she "wishes" she started having kids when she "was younger" because her initial dream was to have "a group of kids," because she "loves being a mom."
Dylan exclusively spoke with HELLO! about dating in the future while competing during the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. "I would say I'm open to it. I don't know how to do it... it's been a long time and my focus is on the kids and the family," she shared. "So if something were to happen organically and it's easy, you know... but I'm not searching for it. If something happens, I'm open to it."
