Things took a personal turn for Dylan Dreyer during the May 1 instalment of the Today Show, when her co-stars put her on the spot about her dating life.

Maria Shriver appeared on the NBC show to discuss the dating habits of women in their forties. "Women in their forties, today many of them are perfectly happy being single. According to one survey, nearly two thirds say they're not interested at all in dating or having a partner," she shared on air.

"Wow," replied Sheinelle Jones. "You've been part of that club for just a couple of years, so do you have any wise wisdom?" Craig Melvin asked his co-host.

"I've been part of that club for eight years. Well I'm knocking on the next one which is the fifties," responded Sheinella. "You've got a couple years," Craig added.

The hosts then checked in virtually with Dylan, who was reporting from the Kentucky Derby. "You're in the club too," Sheinelle said to the meteorologist. "I wasn't going to say that," added Craig. "She's a card carrying member," said Sheinelle.

However, Dylan was quick to shut down any questions over her dating life. "I am 44 and happy. Let's talk about the weather guys," she replied.

Dylan shares three sons, Calvin, Oliver, and Rusty with her ex-husband, Brian Fichera. The couple met while working at the same news station in Boston and tied the knot in 2012. Dylan and Brian moved to New York City and welcomed Calvin in 2016, Oliver in 2020, and Rusty in 2021. The news anchor filed for divorce in March 2026 following 12 years of marriage.

The NBC star issued a statement via Instagram that shared the news she had split with her husband. "For many years, I have shared my family with you all — the highs and lows, the ups and downs, and all of the blessings and beautiful memories in between," wrote Dylan, with the words superimposed onto a picture of a sunset over a dock. "I am incredibly grateful for the support and love you've given me through it all. For that reason, I want to share with you that a few months ago, Brian and I made the decision to separate. We began as friends, and we will remain the closest of friends. Most importantly, we will continue to co-parent our three wonderful boys together with nothing but love and respect for one another," she added, before concluding: "Thank you as always for your support."

Dylan exclusively spoke with HELLO! about dating in the future while competing during the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions.  "I would say I'm open to it. I don't know how to do it... it's been a long time and my focus is on the kids and the family," she shared. "So if something were to happen organically and it's easy, you know... but I'm not searching for it. If something happens, I'm open to it."
