With hundreds of millions of dollars between them, it's no wonder F1's biggest stars have expanded their property portfolios.

Many of the drivers, including four-time world champion Max Verstappen, have chosen Monaco, one of the world's smallest countries, as their base, famed for its luxurious surroundings and tax-free benefits.

However, several, including seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, split their time between Monaco and their homes across the world, including the US.

Find out more about the multimillion-dollar homes of some of F1's biggest stars below.

Lewis in his Colorado home

Lewis Hamilton

Ferrari driver Lewis has a huge property portfolio, but he considers his ranch-style residence in Colorado "home."

In 2020, Lewis told the BBC of the importance of his Colorado home amid the COVID-19 pandemic: "I've never really been home [before]. In my winter, I go to the mountains [in Colorado], which I really see as my main home, because it's a house and it's full of love and memories from people, the family that come every winter."

Comparing the property to his $16 million, four-bedroom penthouse in the Fontvieille district of Monaco, he added: "Where I live in Monaco, it's been somewhere I go back to and I'd call home, but it lacks those memories. I'd be there for short periods of time. So it's not been the easiest."

The Monegasque abode joins a $40 million penthouse in New York, a $31 million London mansion, and a newly acquired luxury apartment in Milan's Porta Nuova district, not far from Ferrari's base, in his property portfolio.

Red Bull driver and four-time world champion Max earns around $100 million a year, but he has rented his high-end apartment in the luxurious Fontvieille district of Monaco since 2015, paying around $17,000 per month instead of forking out almost $19 million to own it outright.

According to reports, Max could relocate to Portugal, at least part-time, with his girlfriend, Kelly Piquet, their daughter Lily, and Kelly's daughter Penelope from a previous relationship, after he bought land at the luxury private residential development Pinheirinho Comporta, which boasts a championship golf course and a spa.

Lando shared this photo of his home before he moved in

Lando Norris

McLaren driver Lando moved to Monaco in 2022 after living in Surrey for years. His apartment is reported to have seaside views, a private gym, and state-of-the-art security features.

Sharing a photo of his new abode before he moved in, Lando wrote on Instagram: "Say hello to my new home! The place isn't finished yet but I'll be living here in Monaco when I'm not in the factory or at the track next year. I get the keys at the end of next month so will hopefully be moving in soon. Really excited for this next chapter!"

Lando's move came after he claimed in an interview with The Sun that if he moved to Monaco, "I would not enjoy it. I don't want to do my job in F1 and not enjoy the things around it."

Charles purchased a luxury apartment in Miami

Charles Leclerc

The Ferrari driver, who was born and raised in Monte Carlo, has Monaco as his main residence, but little is known about his home; however, he is believed to live in the same apartment complex as Max Verstappen.

In 2025, he revealed that he was purchasing a new home at the Edition Residences in Miami's Edgewater neighbourhood. Charles has opted for a "signature sky residence," with prices starting at $3.1 million, and is reportedly due to move to Miami when the property opens in 2027.

His abode is set to be between 2,315 square feet and 2,709 square feet, and if he goes for the largest possible space, his home will feature three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. Spa-inspired baths and eat-at kitchen islands are also in the suites.

Sergio Perez

Returning to F1 with Cadillac, Sergio owns a luxurious $3 million property in the exclusive residential area of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico, but in 2025, he snapped up a four-bedroom luxury condo inside the new St. Regis Residences, a 50-story high-rise on the waterfront in Brickell, Miami, which is due to be completed in 2027.

His residence, which costs upwards of $5 million, features sweeping views of the city skyline and Biscayne Bay, elevator access, a chef's kitchen, five-and-a-half bathrooms, and a 750-square-foot terrace designed for effortless indoor-outdoor living, according to reports.
