Despite having performed on Saturday Night Live twice before, Olivia Rodrigo returned to NBC's studio for a third time on Saturday, May 2, to host the show for the very first time around.
The 23-year-old previously appeared in 2021 (with host Keegan-Michael Key) and in 2023 (with host Adam Driver) as the highlighted performer, but pulled double duty for the first time in the lead-up to her third studio album.

Of course, it wouldn't be an Olivia Rodrigo show without some shoutouts for the fashion. She opened the show in a baby pink mini dress with a ruffled bustier, sweetheart neckline, and bow detailing.
Later on, for her first performance, she wore a pastel negligée, featuring pink lace overlay on semi-sheer green, paired with white thigh-high leg warmers and heels. The leg warmers stayed for her second musical interlude, for which she switched into a satin pink slip dress, paired with a dusty pink robe.
For the first performance of the night, we were treated to "drop dead," the lead single off of Olivia's upcoming LP You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love (out June 12), which has already gone number one in several countries worldwide.
She followed that up with a performance of the previously unreleased "begged," which she'd previously performed at an invite-only show at The Echo. It's only the second song so far to be teased from the record.
