Bridget Moynahan has delighted fans with a rare and heartfelt glimpse into her family life, proudly celebrating a major milestone for her stepson in a touching Instagram post.
The Blue Bloods actress, 54, took to social media to share the exciting news that her stepson, JB Frankel, has committed to Boston College, and her pride was unmistakable.
Alongside a striking graphic of the young athlete in his new team colours, Bridget wrote: “Congrats to my stepson @jbfrankel! Committed to Boston College! @bostoncollege @bcmbb … Just up the road,” adding a playful nod to the university’s proximity.
The post quickly drew a wave of support from friends and fans alike, with many applauding the achievement and sharing their excitement for what lies ahead. Actress Dawnn Lewis was among those to comment, writing: “Yaaasss!! Eagle alum here! Congratulations… he will LOVE the Heights!”
While Bridget tends to keep her family life largely out of the spotlight, moments like this offer a rare window into the close-knit bond she shares with her blended family. She married businessman Andrew Frankel in 2015, becoming stepmother to his three sons, and has long embraced her role with warmth and quiet devotion.
Her latest post is a reflection of that pride. There’s no grandstanding, no overstatement, just a simple, sincere celebration of a young man stepping into his next chapter.
For Bridget, whose own son Jack, whom she shares with Tom Brady, has also grown up in the public eye, milestones like these carry an added emotional weight. They mark not just achievement, but the passage of time, the evolution of family, and the joy of watching children carve out their own paths.
During an appearance on her Sex and the City co-star's Kristin Davis SATC-themed podcast Are You a Charlotte? Bridget gave a rare update.
The former couple dated from 2004 to 2006; he went on to marry Gisele Bündchen, from 2009 to 2022, and they share son Benjamin, 15, and daughter Vivian, 12.
During the podcast appearance, Bridget explained how right now, focusing on motherhood, especially before she becomes an empty nester, is her priority.
"We just finished the show like a year ago, and I did a couple projects after that but I've got kid who is graduating from high school soon so I'm kind of laying [low]," she said, noting she is in turn "leaning" into "mom world."
