It's hard to believe, but May has come around in the blink of an eye. While April gave us plenty of cool, off-duty celebrity looks, we were in for a treat as May brought with it one of the biggest nights in fashion: the Met Gala. This year's theme, 'Costume Art', left the stars plenty of room for interpretation, and they didn't disappoint.

HELLO!'s Fashion and Beauty News Editor, Laura Sutcliffe, revealed her highlight look from the star-studded night:

"One of my favourite looks from the Met Gala was Blake Lively's muted rainbow Atelier Versace gown. This dazzling dress blended historical art with architectural fashion, featuring a draped bodice and an enormous 4 foot train that looked like a cascading array of clouds."

It wasn't just about the Met Gala, though. Keep reading to see HELLO!'s list of best-dressed celebrities for May 2026…

Daisy Edgar-Jones was also one of Laura's favourite looks from the night. "I also loved the drama of Daisy Edgar-Jones's dreamlike gown. The Normal People star wore a custom Alexander McQueen gown designed by Seán McGirr," Laura said. "It featured a myriad of appliqué details as well as an array of shredded tulle.
