The dress code for the 2026 Met Gala, Fashion is Art, did not disappoint and delivered some spectacular red carpet looks from an illustrious list of attendees.
Anna Wintour co-chaired the event alongside Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to celebrate its spring Costume Institute exhibition, titled "Costume Art."
While there were some must-see moments, including Olympian Eileen Gu wearing a dress that blew actual bubbles, there were also some highlights you may have missed.
See below for everything you missed from the 2026 Met Gala on Monday, May 4.
Rihanna, who is always one of the last to walk the red carpet, arrived fashionably late once again alongside her longtime partner A$AP Rocky. The singer looked incredible in a gold ruched ensemble by Maison Margiela paired with Briony Raymond and Dyne jewellery.
Katy Perry was unmasked as the Met Gala's mystery red carpet guest. The singer arrived in a custom white strapless Stella McCartney gown featuring a long train and elbow-length gloves, but it wasn't clear it was Katy because she kept her identity hidden under a white-and-silver headpiece reminiscent of an astronaut's helmet.
Katy, who took part in the Blue Origin space launch last year, eventually removed the silver metal part of the mask, by Miodrag Guberinic, on the carpet, unveiling herself underneath.
Zoe Kravitz turned heads as she arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in a breathtaking black lace Yves Saint Laurent gown, but her reported $1 million, 9-carat diamond bezel-set engagement ring by Jessica McCormack was missing.
The actress, who is reportedly engaged to Harry Styles after an eight-month romance, appeared to shield her left hand from the cameras. When it was later fully visible, her ring finger was unmistakably bare.
Rihanna, Heidi Klum, and A$AP Rocky at the 2026 Met Gala
Heidi Klum's 'scary' costume sought out by celebs
Heidi Klum appeared to be the one every celebrity wanted to have a photo with after she arrived looking like a real-life marble statue. The supermodel wore a custom outfit by Mike Marino, which was inspired by classical works like the Veiled Christ by Giuseppe Sammartino, and was soon grabbed for a photo-op by the likes of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, Ben Stiller, Colman Domingo, Emily Blunt, Carey Mulligan, and Nicholas Hoult.
While her look was a hit with guests, fans were divided on social media, with many calling her outfit "scary" and "creepy."
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez at the 2026 Met Gala
Disappointed fans
Fans of the Met Gala were left disappointed by the apparent influence of sponsor Jeff Bezos, who reportedly paid $10 million to be an honorary co-chair alongside his wife, Lauren Sanchez.
He was accused of turning the event into a "billionaire's ball" after Mark Zuckerberg, Walmart heir S. Robson Walton, and Mike Bloomberg, among others, were pictured at the event. "Willingly attending the Bezos billionaire ball. A gown can't change that you're a [clown] #TaxTheRich," one person wrote on X.
Another said: "I think part of the lesson of the Met Gala is that rich people will make everything gauche eventually." A third added: "Now that we got that out of the way, this was the worst met gala in years and it’s not even close."
The Sex and the City alum along with Alexander McQueen famously stole the show for the 2006 ball, which was themed "AngloMania: Tradition and Transgression in British Fashion"
