Apple TV has finally revealed a first look at Silo season three – and it's safe to say viewers are thrilled about the highly anticipated return.
Starring Rebecca Ferguson and created by Emmy Award winner Graham Yost (Speed), Silo is based on Hugh Howey's bestselling trilogy of the same name. It follows a population of 10,000 people living in an underground world designed to protect them from the toxic wasteland above.
But when engineer Juliette (Rebecca) begins to question why they are there, she uncovers a wider web of secrets that threatens the silo's entire way of life.
Silo remains one of Rebecca Ferguson's most respected roles to date and won two BAFTA awards for Best Production Design and Best Original Music: Fiction in 2024. The series currently holds a 90 per cent critics score on Rotten Tomatoes and is perfect for dystopian drama fans who love Paradise and The Hunger Games. Keep reading for everything you need to know about season three, which lands on Apple TV on 3 July.
What happens in the first look?
In the first-look trailer, we hear Juliette signal a shift in the story as events from previous seasons begin to unfold in reverse.
"Before we can know why we're here… before we can know why everything is as it is… before we can know how it will all end, we need to understand how it all began," she says.
The clip ends with an aerial shot of the Earth above the silo before it became a toxic wasteland, alongside the ominous promise that "The truth will surface" in the upcoming chapter.

"Meanwhile, in the 'Before Times', journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences."
