Scott Mills, 53, is under the spotlight after being instantly sacked from his iconic BBC Radio 2 job. The decision was taken by the BBC over historical allegations of serious sexual offences. Discover the £1.5 million Hertfordshire home the radio DJ shares with husband Sam Vaughan, which he used his mega salary to secure. The Daily Mail reports that his BBC salary was in the region of £355,000 to £359,999 a year, and now that has vanished along with his job, the future of his home is uncertain, especially if it was acquired with a mortgage.

Scott ditched city life in London in 2022, relocating from Kentish Town in favour of a quiet life in the country. While the star doesn't share much on social media about his private life, he did give an intimate press interview last year.

Speaking with The Times in 2025, Scott explained: "We now live in a new-build house in a quiet little cul-de-sac in the Rickmansworth area." Touching on his interior style, he said: "It's very modern and pared-back. I don't like clutter. We’re aiming for that Scandinavian minimalist vibe," and in the piece, Scott and Sam were pictured on a grey velour sofa with modern art on the wall behind them.

In the interview, he also revealed that he lives near Martin and Shirlie Kemp. They are renovating a property in the area, and Scott has revealed the pop couple even have a tennis court.

The Scott Mills investigation

A police investigation into the presenter began in 2016, and he was questioned over allegations of serious sexual offences against a teenage boy in July 2018. However, the case was dropped in 2019 due to insufficient evidence to bring charges.

According to The Mirror, a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said a man, who was in his 40s at the time of the interview, was investigated over allegations reported to have happened between 1997 and 2000.

The statement read: "In December 2016, the Met began an investigation following a referral from another police force. The investigation related to allegations of serious sexual offences against a teenage boy. These were reported to taken place between 1997 and 2000.

"As part of these enquiries, a man who was in his 40s at the time of the interview, was questioned by police under caution in July 2018. A full file of evidence was submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service, who determined the evidential threshold had not been met to bring charges. Following this advice, the investigation was closed in May 2019."
