Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling married on 6 June, surrounded by their friends and family, which included many members of the royal family. Peter's mother, Princess Anne ensured a flawless day when she offered up the most amazing wedding gift - hosting the wedding reception at her Gatcombe Park estate, where there's a "party barn".
The couple said 'I do' at All Saints' Church in Kemble, Gloucestershire, with the likes of King Charles III and Queen Camilla in attendance. After the official ceremony, it was back to the Princess Royal's home for the reception. The 730-acre estate is the perfect place for a party - not only would the stunning grounds have made the perfect photo backdrop and offered space for an outdoor marquee, but there is also a dedicated "party barn", which could well be where the wedding party celebrated.
A look inside the party barn
In a previous interview with Vogue, the barn was revealed for the first time, and it was described as having a bar and catering facilities with a giant screen and lounges.
A picture of Mike Tindall in the venue revealed exactly how beautiful it is. The room is designed with high, wooden beams overhead, while dark green wooden panelling can be seen on one wall.
There is plenty of seating in the room, including a breakfast-bar-style console table along one wall with wooden and brass stools, and a large table in the centre surrounded by brass stools.
The estate is also believed to be where Peter and Harriet live, in a cottage on site, away from Princess Anne's main residence. Peter's sister, Zara and her family also live at Gatcombe, in a property called Aston Farm. Peter keeps his personal life private so it is unlikely that we will see his and Harriet's marital home.
Blushing bride
Harriet looked beautiful on her big day, wearing a traditional all-white, floor-length gown by fashion designer Emilia Wickstead. Her classic dress featured a fitted silhouette, vand a dramatic high neckline and long sleeves. "An intentional dialogue between tradition and modernity runs throughout the design," the designer explained on Instagram, sharing that the incredible three-metre train was inspired by the early 19th century. Also, she revealed that it took over 100 hours to make!
To complete her bridal ensemble, Harriet wore a flowing sheer veil and a sparkling Pragnell tiara, paired with diamond earrings and custom ivory satin heels by Jimmy Choo. She was followed down the aisle by three adorable bridesmaids, who also wore white: her 13-year-old daughter, Georgina, and Peter's daughters, Savannah and Isla.
