US state visit confirmed

It has been confirmed by Buckingham Palace that the King’s state visit to the US will go ahead as planned next month.

King Charles and Queen Camilla’s historic trip to see Donald Trump will take place in late April, despite calls for it to be postponed due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

It will be the King’s first visit to the US as monarch and the first state visit by a British sovereign to America for nearly 20 years.

While in the States, the King and Queen will:

  • Commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence
  • Attend a state dinner at the White House
  • The King will address Congress

Princess Beatrice's Easter throwback

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are making "alternative plans" on Easter Sunday, HELLO! understands, and the decision was made with the support of King Charles.

We're taking a look back at Princess Beatrice's previous Easter fashion as we wait to hear what her plans will be. Read more here

Prince Harry and King Charles

Prince Harry won't travel to Washington DC to see his father, King Charles, during the US state visit next month, according to a source close to the Duke of Sussex.

The King's youngest son lives in California with his wife, Meghan Markle and their two children, and last saw his father six months ago.

His children, Archie and Lilibet, haven't seen their grandfather in person in nearly four years.

Harry is in Washington today to give a keynote speech for the IAPP global summit on privacy, AI governance and cybersecurity law.

Princess Beatrice's surprising friendship with son of A-list actor revealed

As a member of the royal family, it's perhaps no surprise that Princess Beatrice has some equally famous friends.

In fact, she and Prince William have a selection of rather well-known mutual friends. Years before she met her now-husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, the Prince of Wales reportedly introduced Beatrice to her ex-boyfriend, Dave Clarke.

The 2006 meeting took place at a party hosted by their mutual friend Sean, son of actor Pierce Brosnan

Prince Harry pictured after hopes of reunion with dad King Charles are dashed

Prince Harry was out in Washington, D.C. the same day it was confirmed that his father King Charles would be visiting the United States capital in less than a month. The Duke of Sussex, dressed in a navy suit, took to the main stage at the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Global Summit on Tuesday for the closing general session, where he spoke about today’s digital world.

The royal also sat down for a conversation with Joe Jones, IAPP's director of research and insights.

Charles and Harry's last meeting

Prince Harry's appearance at the summit followed confirmation that he will not be reuniting with his father in D.C. next month, when the King and Queen Camilla will undertake a state visit to the United States to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence.

Harry and his father last saw each other in September for "private tea" at Clarence House during the Prince's visit to the United Kingdom.

A source close to the Spare author told HELLO! at the time: "I don't think he's [Harry] completely dropped the idea of feeling that he has been wronged in certain ways by the institution, but he would rather the opportunity for reconciliation."

7 surprising words the royal family are banned from using

The idea of meeting a member of the royal family is a daunting one. With strict protocols in place and an emphasis on the correct etiquette, it's hard to know what the right thing to say is – and, it turns out, there are some words best avoided if you are speaking to King Charles or the Kate Middleton, The Princess of Wales

Social anthropologist Kate Fox, author of Watching the English: The Hidden Rules of English Behaviour, has studied the linguistic quirks of the upper classes, and identified a list of verbal dos and don'ts when speaking to a royal.

Take a look at the dos and don'ts here.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's' source of comfort' at new royal home

HELLO! reported last week that King Charles' brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, is not living alone on the Sandringham estate. While he has been exiled from the royal family, the former prince, who was stripped of his royal titles and honors in November 2025, shares his home with seven dogs, including his mother Queen Elizabeth II's beloved corgis, Muick and Sandy.

Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, took on the dogs following Queen Elizabeth's death in 2022, and the late monarch's son took custody of the animals when they vacated Royal Lodge.

While Andrew has been shunned by his family, his seven dogs are likely providing solace, as relationship expert Anna Williamson explains: "Pets are uncompromising and can give an enormous source of comfort. In fact, pets are proven to be incredibly beneficial for reducing anxiety and low mood."
