Demi Moore has long been synonymous with her luscious, long raven hair, so naturally, when she stepped out with a bob at Milan Fashion Week, it sent the beauty world into a frenzy. However, all was not as it seemed – because it turns out the cut was actually a wig, meaning Demi had us all fooled.
The actress has addressed the viral look while hosting a promotional 'Power Talks' event for Kérastase, which was held at Nya Studios in LA on March 6. "[It was an] incredible moment," she said. "Just being able to play and step into another facet of my personality."
Demi later took to Instagram to share a series of photographs from a shoot with the hair brand. The star wore a simple white T-shirt paired with denim jeans, tousling her long hair in her hands as it was styled in soft waves.
In the caption, she penned: "The long hair is here to stay @kerastase_official."
"Gorgeous! We are so happy to have you! You and your hair," commented Kerastase on the post.
Demi's viral 'cut'
On February 27, Demi graced the Gucci fall/winter 2026 collection to support Demna Gvasalia take the helm of the Italian fashion house. Demi debuted an ultra-short bob cut that was styled into a wet look with soft wave accents.
The bob skimmed her jawline and was styled with a deep side part, adding dimension and texture to the striking new look. The blunt cut perfectly complemented her head-to-toe leather look that consisted of a fitted black leather jacket and matching skin-tight pants. T
"I wanted to give Demi a very bold and fashion-forward look for Demna’s show," Demi's hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos told InStyle."It is inspired by the silhouettes of the new collection. I felt an amazing, short, above-the-shoulder bob with this very sleek, wet texture would be perfect to complement her look. It’s a big change for Demi – we’ve never seen her like this before! She looks very cool, effortless, and modern. And it highlights her personality."
Demi's long hair
It doesn’t come as a surprise that Demi didn’t brave a real haircut and opted for a wig instead. The actress has previously opened up about the confidence her long hair gives her. "[Long hair] feels most like me," she told People in January.
"Being able to change my look with wigs and pieces feeds my need for change but at the end of the day I love taking it down seeing my hair fall past my waist. It's like coming home."
