Tina Knowles celebrated the upcoming Met Gala, where Beyoncé will serve as a co-chair, in a major way.
The "Matriarch" author hosted Cécred's festive pre-Met Gala party on May 2 in New York City called the Club Cécred Honors Party, and HELLO! exclusively attended the lively gathering at the Casa Tua Club, The Surrey Hotel.
The mogul arrived in a gorgeous monochromatic beige satin look that was a twist on a blazer, with structured shoulder pads, and intriguing stitching throughout.
The Vice Chairwoman of Cécred finished the look off with her signature dirty blond waves, a bold lip and gold jewelry.
Tina got sentimental during her speech, as she reflected on Cécred's journey into fruition, and thanked all the guests for their ongoing support of the brand, which the dynamic duo launched two years ago.
Tina's special toast
The entrepreneur shared: "I just wanted to propose a toast to you guys because without you, Cécred would not be doing what it's doing. So this is a toast to everyone who posted, who told a friend about it. You wonderful influencers and our customers have just spread the word for us."
She continued: "It's made our job a lot easier and I am just so grateful to you guys for all of your support and love for Cécred. We put our heart and soul into Cécred. We tried to pass on the wisdom, [and] mixed it with the science."
Tina added: "We poured our heart and soul into it and so I just wanted to propose a toast to you guys and thank you for everything that you've done in the past [and] everything you will do in the future. Cécred is a people's brand and I'm just very proud of it."
Beyoncé's return to the Met Gala
The star also provided an update on Beyoncé's whereabouts and revealed: "Beyoncé sends her love. She's trying to get ready for the Met [Gala] so…"
Tina joked: "Oh, did I say that? So anyway, you guys know me [by] now. So anyway, I love you all."
Beyonce will make her highly-anticipated return to the Met Gala after a decade on May 4 and sentimentally, the number four is the iconic singer's favorite number.
Cécred's journey
The author made the toast with one of the night's signature cocktails, fittingly called Honey Bee, which was served with the mother-daughter's American whisky brand SirDavis.
She concluded: "So, this is a toast to you guys and as I said, I love you all and I thank you all. [I'm] just feeling gratitude for what you've contributed to Cécred, and I hope that you're using the products. We're so proud of our styling products that are really amazing. A lot of love, time and years went into making those safe products. So anyway, without further ado, God bless you guys."
Beyoncé and Tina co-hosted a launch party for their new hair styling collection last month in Los Angeles, which was inspired by the Bronner Bros, and featured dancers who created extravagant and eccentric hairstyles using Cécred's products.
Tina is an expert at hairstyling, being that she has decades of experience from opening her salon called Headlines in the 1990s, where she served generations of women, and she also created the visionary looks behind Destiny's Child.
