Sinners' director Ryan Coogler is the talk of the town as the Oscars are approaching.
Apart from his thriving career, Ryan is both a dedicated husband to his wife Zinzi Coogler and their three children, whose names are not known. Find out more about their special bond below.

The duo first met each other as young teens when they were around 13 years old.
They started dating while they were both enrolled in California's Saint Mary's College. Ryan knew he wanted to become both a screenwriter and director, and Zinzi remained by his side through all his artistic endeavors.
The couple got engaged in 2013 and they tied the knot three years later. They have made the conscious decision to keep their children out of the public spotlight.

Zinzi once worked as an ASL interpreter, while she helped Ryan with his student films at the time. She lovingly purchased Final Draft for him, which is a screenwriting software that helped him bring his imagination to life.
She is also immersed in the world of film as a producer. The two have served as a power couple, as Zinzi brought her skillset to Ryan's films including Creed III and Sinners.
In 2021, the duo launched their own production company called Proximity Media, and the brand debuted its first film Judas the Black Messiah that same year. The film ended up being nominated for six Oscars and winning two.

Zinzi lovingly expressed to The Hollywood Reporter: "We met when we were 13 or 14. When you are in a relationship with someone for that long, you pull each other into each other's lives."
From student films to the upcoming Oscars red carpet, Zinzi has been there through all of Ryan's eras.

Ryan consistently used his huge platform in order to share the gratitude he has for his wife.
While Ryan accepted the Director Award onstage of the Critics' Choice Association's 8th Annual Celebration of Black Cinema & Television, he recalled: "In 2003, I saw a young girl kicking everybody's [expletive] on the track. I didn't get her number that day. I built up my courage and got it at the next track meet. She changed my life. She made me a better football player, a better student, a better person, and she made me a better filmmaker."
