Hours after Savannah Guthrie 's family issued an urgent statement about Nancy Guthrie, the Today Show host returned to social media with a hopeful message.
As the search for Savannah's mom enters its seventh week, the star took to Instagram with a poignant post.
While simple, the message was clear. She shared a painting of Jesus with two angels and added the words: "I believe. I believe."
Savannah wrote nothing more, and didn't caption the post, but her social media followers were quick to show their support.
Her former NBC co-star, Hoda Kobt, added three praying hands emojis. World News Tonight's David Muir liked the post, and Carson Daly mirrored Savannah's words by writing: "I believe."
Fans inundated her with messages urging her not to give up hope and sharing their prayers for Nancy.
What happened to Nancy Guthrie?
Nancy, 83, was first reported missing after she failed to attend her virtual church service on February 1, leaving Savannah and her loved ones heartbroken and distressed.
Over the weekend, they released a statement to News 4 Tucson (NBC's affiliate) in the hopes of receiving new information.
New statement
The statement, which aired as part of special show, Bring Her Replica Luxury Handbag – The Disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, read: "We are deeply grateful for the outpouring from neighbors, friends and the people of Tucson. We are all family now.
"We continue to believe it is Tucsonans, and the greater southern Arizona community, that hold the key to finding resolution in this case. Someone knows something. It’s possible a member of this community has information that they do not even realize is significant. We hope people search their memories, especially around the key timelines of January 31 and the early morning hours of February 1, as well as the late evening of January 11."
'Desperate'
"We desperately ask this community for renewed attention to our mom’s case - please consult camera footage, journal notes, text messages, observations or conversations that in retrospect may hold significance. No detail is too small. It may be the key."
"We miss our mom with every breath and we cannot be in peace until she is home. We cannot grieve; we can only ache and wonder. Our focus is solely on finding her and bringing her home.
"We want to celebrate her beautiful and courageous life. But we cannot do that until she is brought to a final place of rest. Thank you for continuing to pray without ceasing."
It was co-signed by the Guthrie family - Camron and Kristine, Annie and Tommaso, and Savannah and Michael.
