Cynthia and husband Richard's eldest child Brandon was born on 11 September 1990. He works as a photographer, producer and singer, and has credited his start in music to his godfather and dad Richard.
"I began my journey into music at the age of 3 when I received my first mini drum set from my God-Father, Bobby Colomby (The drummer of Blood Sweat and Tears)," he explained. "From that point forward, I knew I wanted to be a musician." According to his Instagram, he is married to artist Zaira Marx.

Middle child Lucas was born on 14 September 1992. According to his Spotify artist profile, Lucas started playing the piano at just 7 years old and moved to LA at 18, starting his music career and soon having his first hit with Bryce Fox's 'Horns'.
With over 30 million streams on Spotify, it's clear Richard's musical talent doesn't fall far from the tree. He keeps quiet about his private life but has made headlines for his career, with European hits like Isac Ellit's 'What About Me'.

Jesse Marx, 32
Like his two elder siblings, the youngest Marx brother Jesse has gone into the music business. Born on 4 January 1994, the singer released his debut EP Dark World as Mark This Hour in 2022.
He has also had a few onscreen roles, including a 2013 appearance in Chicago Fire and 2022 comedy short A Very Carol-y Christmas.

Marriage to Richard Marx
Music might be the basis of their careers on stage and on the screen, but it's also the reason for their real-life meet cute. Cynthia met musician Richard Marx in 1983 when she was working opposite John Travolta in Staying Alive and Richard was working on the soundtrack.
Thus began a four-year romance before tying the knot in 1989, when Cynthia stepped back from acting to raise their three sons. They separated in July 2013 and divorced the next year.
