Anne Hathaway is fully embracing her skin-baring era, with each look elevated by the intricate seams and stitching of high fashion. The actress stepped out for a listening party and Q&A for her new film, Mother Mary, on April 14, and her ensemble took the naked dress trend to new heights.
The 43-year-old donned a sheer black gown from Calvin Klein's fall/winter 2026 collection. The garment featured a fishnet design and figure-hugging silhouette embellished with intricate sequins and trimming. The dress was layered over a black bra and pant set and styled with an oversized blazer.
Anne concealed her eyes with a pair of oversized sunglasses and added a black leather handbag and pointed-toe pumps for a sleek finish. Her brunette locks were left down in soft waves while her makeup oozed glam, courtesy of a glossy lip.
At its core, the naked dress trend is defined by its barely-there materials, sheer mesh, metallic knits, chainmail, lace, and airy organza all play a part in its ethereal appeal.
Anne has been serving up a fashion marathon while promoting her new film, and each look has been marked by monochromatic elegance. She rocked a striking black Coperni Zero Waste Draped Mini Dress for the afterparty. The garment featured an asymmetric design with draped, silky fabric. One side was designed with a flowing sleeve, while the other side was left open. Anne teamed the dress with sheer black tights and a pair of towering Versace Aevitas Pointy Platform Pumps.
The actresses added a touch of glitz to the look with emerald-encrusted Bvlgari Serpenti earrings.
The following day, for her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Anne slipped into a vintage Versace fall/winter 1991 blazer dress that was originally worn by Naomi Campbell on the runway. The black dress featured a plunging neckline with velvet sleeves. The bodice was adorned with golden buttons and sleek pockets for a polished finish.
To double up on the Italian fashion house, Anne wore a pair of the same platform pumps that boasted a daring pointed-toe design.
