Anne Hathaway just proved that leopard print and cherry-red are the ultimate sultry combo. The actress stepped out for a special screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2 in New York City this week – and her look was the very embodiment of method dressing.

Naturally, the 43-year-old was dressed head-to-toe in high-fashion designer. Anne wore a red midi dress, complete with a collared neckline and a neatly buttoned bodice. The garment was layered with a bold leopard-print coat from the Michael Kors Fall 2024 collection. To continue with the striking red theme, Anne accessorized with a pair of pointed-toe heels and a Aspinal of London Midi Mayfair handbag.

Her brunette locks were styled into soft waves with side parting while her makeup oozed glam, courtesy of creamy red lip and rosy cheek.

Press tour wardrobe

Anne has embraced a playful, fashion-forward approach to her press tour wardrobe. "I’m aware of the eyeballs on it," her stylist Erin Walsh told British Vogue. "But I feel like I’ve been training my whole life to do this. There’s always pressure: It’s what we do and what we love."

She continued: "It's been an exercise of joy – having the opportunity to tie in layers of Andy [Sachs] with Annie, and playing with all of the different designers."

"If you look at all the major houses that have these new [designers] leading them, there’s this idea of leaning into joy, and clothes that make you feel like the supernova version of yourself. It’s going to be joyful, irreverent, empowering, confident – and strong."

The sequel to the beloved 2006 hit, which also stars Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, began production last year. "I was still a 22-year-old mess of a human when I made The Devil Wears Prada," Anne told Harper's Bazaar. "And so, we’ve grown up together, and I’m so happy for them and how their lives are unfolding."

She continued: "Like, this crazy thing where people just graduate from high school and they just send me their graduation announcements. People send me their wedding invitations. It’s so very sweet. And I feel bad, because I can never do anything with them, because I’m not Taylor Swift–level organized. Maybe someday."

The colour red has become a signature hue in Anne's press tour wardrobe. The star looked like a real-life stylish devil for the New York premiere of the film. She wore a custom Louis Vuitton by Nicolas Ghesquière ankle-grazing dress that featured a corseted bodice with structural cups and a drop-waist silhouette. The skirt featured a hem that moved gracefully around the silhouette, and the look was styled with red platform sandals.
