Katie Holmes added sultry tailoring to her sartorial agenda this week as she stepped out for the AAFA American Image Awards 2026 at Gotham Hall in New York City on April 2.
The actress wore a sleek black blazer with glossy lapels and intricate pocket detailing, paired with matching straight-leg tailored trousers. The blazer was left open to reveal a plunging black corset beneath that added a risque twist to the refined look. Katie accessorised with pointed-toe black boots and a diamond-encrusted choker necklace that shimmered with amber hues.
Katie's luscious toasted-almond colored locks were styled into soft waves while her makeup exuded glam, courtesy of a smoky eye and a nude-stained lip. The star's choice of ensemble hardly comes as a surprise considering her style set often leans towards monochromatic tones and sleek silhouettes.
The star recently switched up her roots and debuted a champagne-blonde hue styled in a tousled bob. Seung Ki Baek, Rush Artistic Team Member, spoke to us about Katie's new hair. "Kate Holmes’ new hair is glossy and absolutely beaming with health!" they shared. "Her signature chocolate brown colour has been transformed into a golden champagne blonde with highlights blended throughout to add depth and dimension to her base. The placement of the lighter pieces is strategic, achieving a more voluminous look with focus on the top of the hair and framing her face, amping up the texture and movement."
Katie Holmes' fashion
The 47-year-old previously opened up about the attention she receives from the public about her fashion choices. "Fashion is really big, and it didn’t used to be," she told Town and Country in 2024. "As an actor, you weren’t necessarily photographed all the time on the street. It’s different now, and it’s flattering, but it doesn’t change how I live or dress." She continued: "I’m adamant about having a life and not letting this industry dictate decisions as simple as what I wear or as complicated as what I do. You don’t want to be afraid of anything, right?"
Katie also discussed style agenda in an interview with Vogue in March last year. "I tend to go with what I like, and for spring, it’s usually the same silhouettes," she shared. "I can’t wait to get back into a tank top. I usually wear them with a long skirt or baggy pants, so it feels very comfortable. I’m looking forward to wearing nice simple slip dresses again too. It’s going to be great to wear less layers…I’m sick of all the laundry!" she added.
