7 highest-earning Jeopardy! champions of all time and their winning streaks — from Ken Jennings to Jamie Ding
Jeopardy! has given out hundreds of millions… with the likes of Ken Jennigs, Brad Rutter and James Holzhauer winning over three million dollars for themselves
In its multiple decade run, Jeopardy! has given away hundreds of millions of dollars in prize money.
There are a certain few that are lucky to have gotten some of those millions — individually! — among them the competition show's very host Ken Jennings, who has MC'ed the beloved program since 2021, following the death of former host Alex Trebek.
Ken is a former competitor, and today is still among those to have won the most money from Jeopardy!, and has the most consecutive wins.
Brad is the Jeopardy! contestant who has earned the most money, a whopping $4,938,436, including in Jeopardy! tournaments. He is moreover the third-highest-earning American game show contestant of all time. He first appeared on Jeopardy! in 2000, first becoming the highest money-winner ever on American game shows in 2005.
Ken and Brad have long been neck-and-neck on the title of highest money-winner ever on American game shows, which Ken gained in 2004, then again in 2008, before being unseated by Brad once more. He has earned $4,370,700 through Jeopardy!, and moreover stands at number one for most consecutive games won (74), and highest winnings in regular-season play ($2,520,700).
James not only stands at number three of all-time winnings, but he also takes up all ten spots in the top single-game winnings ranking. He has won $131,127 in a single game, in 2019, and has overall won $3,612,216.
Matt has earned $1,818,601 across 39 appearances on Jeopardy!, and further stands at number 3 of most consecutive games won, with 38 in 2021, and also number three of highest winnings during regular season, $1,518,601.
Amy won 40 consecutive games on Jeopardy! from November 2021 to January 2022, and holds the second-longest win streak in the program's history, behind only Ken, who was already host during her streak. She stands at number five for most earnings, with $1,682,800.
Last but certainly not least we have Jaime, who recently broke his 31-game streak, though he still stands at number one on that list. Over time, he has won $882,605.
