Princess Charlotte has gained a reputation as a sensible young royal who takes her duties very seriously, especially when compared to her younger brother, Prince Louis!
The Prince and Princess of Wales' only daughter remains calm and polite in public, following her parents' lead and rarely getting caught out misbehaving. When the cameras stop rolling and she's in the comfort of her own home, her personality reportedly comes out, Prince William confessed.
When asked who was the cheekiest between his two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, he joked: "They're about as cheeky as each other. They're very cheeky."

Aged three, the adorable little royal couldn't hide her mischievous side as she drove to her uncle Prince Harry's wedding with Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle.

While the then-Duke and Duchess of Cambridge competed in the King Cup's sailing regatta in Cowes on the Isle of Wight, George, then six, and Charlotte, then four, proudly watched on from a nearby boat under the watchful eye of their grandparents, Carole and Michael Middleton.

Charlotte joined her older brother and parents for the Duke of Edinburgh's memorial service in 2022. While the siblings appeared well-behaved, an unearthed video from royal fan account thecambridges_family revealed a brief moment when she was caught off-guard by spotting herself on television. The six-year-old's expression changed as she quickly pulled a face for the camera.
Later that year, Charlotte summarised the rollercoaster of emotions that comes with watching the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. She switched between a tense expression of concentration and a more light-hearted tongue out, but our favourite was when she scrunched her eyes and pulled her pigtails in frustration.
Sitting court-side during the men's Wimbledon final in 2024, Charlotte wasted no time soaking up the sporting atmosphere. While guests around her pulled a shocked expression, Charlotte stole the show as she rested her hand on her chin and drew focus to her cool-girl sunglasses.
As she joined the royal family for their traditional church service at St Mary Magdalene in Sandringham, Charlotte stopped to pose for selfies with well-wishers.
