Last month, Netflix delighted its users with a touch of Noughties nostalgia as they put One Tree Hill on the streaming service, 14 years since it first premiered. The teen drama aired for over ten years and a number of the main cast's careers started off the show.
One Tree Hill is a 2000s series that follows the relationship between two half-brothers, Lucas and Nath Scott in North Carolina. The show begins by focusing on the high school experience before tracing their adulthood careers.
The cast includes the likes of Chad Michael Murray, James Lafferty, Hilarie Burton, Bethany Joy Lenz, and Sophia Bush. To celebrate the return of the series on Netflix, HELLO! are taking a closer look at where the main stars are today.

Chad Michael Murray played the lead role of heartthrob Lucas Scott for six seasons. Since 2012, the actor has continued his stellar career by appearing in films and TV shows such as Riverdale, Star and Scream Queens. He has been married to Sarah Roemer for 11 years and the couple share three children.

James Lafferty starred as Nathan Scott, the half-brother of Chad's character Lucas. After the show, he went on to appear in The Haunting of Hill House, Underground and the film Small Time Crime. He married the Australian actress Alexandra Park in 2022.

Hilarie played Peyton Sawyer in the show, however her acting career kickstarted with an appearance in Dawson's Creek. Following the show, she undertook some presenting stints for MTV. She has also starred in Good Sam, The Walking Dead and the film 618 to Omaha. She also published her firm book Grimoire Girl in 2023. Hilarie shares two children with her husband and fellow actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

The character Haley James, Nathan's love interest, was portrayed by Bethany Joy Lenz. Following the series, she starred in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., American Gothic and the movie Extortion. She has also become an established author, with Dinner For Vampires being her most recent novel. She was married to Michael Galeotti for seven years in which they welcomed their daughter Maria.

Sophia Bush starred in every single series of One Tree Hill. The actress portrayed the popular high school cheerleader Brooke Davis, her breakout role in the industry. She has since appeared in hit films, such as John Tucker Must Die, Chalet Girl, The Hitcher and Chicago P.D. Sophia also hosts her own podcast and continues to champion a range of human rights campaigns through her activism. Following her divorce from Grant Hughes, she came out as queer and started dating professional soccer star Ashlyn Harris.
