Newlywed Maya Hawke was glowing as she received a special honor at the SXSW Film Festival, just a month after tying the knot with her musician beau, Christian Lee Hutson, in NYC.

The 27-year-old was awarded the IMDb STARmeter Award at the event, which recognizes fan-favorite stars who are on the IMDbPro STARmeter chart. The chart ranks celebrities who receive the most page views on the website, and Maya ranked in the top 100 thanks to her array of smash-hit projects, like Stranger Things.

"The IMDb STARmeter Award is very important to me. I feel really, really honored," she shared. "Awards welcome. I will accept them. I will hold them, I will kiss them, and yeah, this is a huge honor."

Maya kept it casual at the event in dark wash jeans, a striped, collared shirt with elbow-length sleeves, and a black blazer. She left her blonde locks down and opted for minimal makeup.

The honor comes a month after Maya and Christian walked down the aisle in a surprise NYC wedding on February 14, with her famous parents, Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, in attendance, as well as her Stranger Things co-stars.

The actress, who typically keeps her private life out of the spotlight, opened up for the first time about her winter wonderland wedding during an interview with Page Six"I mean…love is the best," she said, before adding that she was "ecstatically happy" with her husband.

Christian is a musician and doubles as Maya's biggest fan. "[She is] truly one of the only people I've ever met with the courage to pull the deepest and darkest from within herself out into the light, to hold it there, really examine it, and choose to love it, chaos and all," he wrote in a 2024 Instagram post about his partner.

Maya and Christian's wedding saw an incredible turnout from the Stranger Things cast, just after their hit Netflix show came to an end after five seasons.

Maya recently opened up about the ending of the show, in which she portrays the sarcastic and fiery Robin Buckley, and shared that she was thankful for the send-off her character received in the finale. "What I'm grateful to the Duffers [Brothers] for – and I haven't gotten to talk about this – is they gave us the opportunity to have our last scene on the show be the last scene we filmed as actors," she told Rolling Stone.

"The speech Gaten gives at graduation, about how they lost their childhoods – I don't know if the Duffers did that on purpose. But the way the show allowed the cast's experience to feel seen within the characters' story meant the world to me."

The star added that she did not agree with the backlash to the show's ending. "I was not mad about anything. If the catharsis didn't feel right to anyone else, I'm sorry. But it meant the world to me."
